This book covers key aspects about Inclusive Education for the Australian context. It includes gender, cultural, linguistic, physical, trauma, sensory, communication, learning, behavioural and medical issues. It seems, however, to give little regard to the inclusion of gifted children, which is a little disappointing. Gifted children are an often ignored group with quite unique, often very challenging, and usually poorly accommodated special needs within "mainstream" services. It would have been beneficial to devote a chapter on this group to go someway towards providing a resource for educators who are attempting to include gifted children. On the whole, however, it is a worthwhile investment and informative resource.
