Delivering high-quality audio with every use, the Pyle PL42BL full-range speakers are equipped with a blue poly injection cone, non-fatiguing butyl rubber surround, 0.5-inch neodymium film dome tweeter, and a high temperature voice coil. The blue poly injection cone on the Pyle 4-inch car speaker is durable and able to handle environmental changes as well as wear and tear from being in a car. The butyl rubber surround on the two-way automotive speaker ensures that the cone is able to vibrate freely to produce the wide range of sounds clearly. With the dome tweeters on the Pyle 4-inch car speaker, the high notes and sounds produced are evenly distributed throughout the car. The two-way automotive speaker comes in a set of two so that they can work together to provide an even sound as well. Additional specifications for the Pyle PL42BL include a frequency response of 110 Hz to 20 kHz, 88 dB sensitivity, a 4-Ohm impedance, and an RMS power handling of 90 watts. Great sound and value for your money.

I didn't have high expectations but I'm pretty shocked by the sound quality. Audio is very clear with decent midrange. They worked perfect for my DIY Bluetooth speaker build. Like any speaker, the enclosure will make or break them. I won't be switching out the infinity kappas in my truck for them but if you're on a budget, I don't think you'll find better sounding speakers at this price point.

Thin Sounding

Out of the box they looked great, with huge magnets, I was expecting a deeper robust sound. I was replacing factory speakers in a 1980 Triumph TR7, which are 38 years old. They just sound thin and weak. The originals were not coaxial, so I thought these would be better. I wound up putting the originals back in for now. They may just need more input power. I may try adding an amp to my media receiver and try these Pyles again.

Excellent

Excellent speakers for the price point. The magnets are larger than I had expected and I was a bit concerned as to whether their diameters may be too large to fit into the original speaker wells on my vehicle but they went in without any difficulty. The clearance towards the back also concerned me but I had just enough ( about 1/4-inch ( 6-mm ) ) from the back-end of the magnet. Overall the sound quality is good at both the low ( woofer ) and high ( twitter ) frequency spectrum ends, although the higher frequencies tend to sound a bit tinny. However, I can't complain much since the price was much better than anything I could purchase locally; even at WalMart. Furthermore, the speakers come with all the necessary mounting hardware ( clips and screws ) including a set of speaker wires with preinstalled positive and negative attachment ends for each speaker.

Pyle 4 inch speakers

I used these to replace the factory speakers in an older BMW that I have. Installation was easy and the sound is great. They’re hard to beat for the price.

Cheap but sound great

Great price for changing out stock blown ones. Truck sounds so much better now . If your expecting to "bump" these ,think again . Great little 4inchs for sound quality ,I love the tweeters in center . Install took 5 mins per speaker .Package came damaged but everything inside was perfect.
