I just started playing with Arduino Micro controllers and sure, there is tons of Video's, Books, and Website's dedicated to helping people learn but I can say to really learn the PROGRAMMING Part, buy BOTH of Simon Monk's books on Arduino, "Getting Started With Sketches" and "Next Steps"!!!!! He writes, clear, gives really useful information, and his two little books (plus download from his website) helped me to learn Arduino Programming more than any other single source (way more). Text Books often have a huge snooze factor...but not these books. They are easy to read, easy to learn from and almost fun (huge task for a Textbook). These two books by Simon Monk (Getting Started With Sketches and Next Steps) are for learning to PROGRAM the Arduino only. They will not teach you about circuits or hardware aspect. Recommended highly for the novice and intermediate Arduino Programmer.Read full review

If you are a non-professional embedded programmer, pick up a copy of this book. It has lots of good info, you need to know once you get past just blinking LED's. It's a starting point for those wanting to take an Arduino UNO a little further.

This is the second book in a series which reviews some of the material within the first book. Then continues into more advanced programing. Easy to understand, and a must, to keep these books as a reference material. Idaho Joe
