"Hard to please" husband is very happy!
After a recent stay in hospital, my husband was wanting the same type of TV pillow speaker (Curbell Medical device), however the connections wouldn't be suitable for our TV & was too expensive. This item is excellent, however the cord is very short. This was easily remedied by purchasing an extension cord audio jack. Works perfectly. Now I no longer have to shout over the volume of the TV and He can control the volume independent of the TV with his pillow speaker. Serious design flaw.
This pillow speaker has a major design flaw – it does not reproduce the right input channel through the single speaker. For playing through a single (mono) speaker, both left and right stereo channels should be equally mixed to create the mono signal. Due to a design error, this unit plays only the left channel, and you'll hear none of the right channel. Sangean have been advised about this, so give it a year or two and they might make it right. Other than that, it has nice features and sounds good (for the one channel it plays!). With a reasonably high input signal (from headphone jack) and the PS-300's volume set low, an Eneloop AAA battery should last at least a month of nightly 'active' (amplified) playing.This pillow speaker has a major design flaw – it does not reproduce the right input channel through the single speaker. I use it for listening books in bed, for this the sound quality is good......It is very easy to use and well made, but I found I could buy one considerably cheaper at my local electrical retail store.

Best night time speaker ever!!!
I Listen to 2GB every night when I go to bed .. I go through that many ear plug speakers .. This product is so so good .. I'm extremely satisfied , and my wife is pleased to that I sleep better .. May buy a spare one :)
