Not bad, but not great
To be honest, it is a bit Mills and Boony. I just wanted a light read at bedtime. Some of the story-lines were interesting at first but became a touch predictable. On the plus side, I believe these sewing bees were in existence in the East End during WW2 so it is all based on fact. More interesting were the accounts at the back of the book by real individuals who lived through that period. I believe there is a sequel to this book which, if there are story-lines of romances between the girls at these garment factories and the GI's, it might spice things up a bit.
