This is my third C905 so i am obviously quite pleased with them it would have been my second had i not washed the last one. Overall i think this is a very good phone with an excellent camera with lots of features for editing. Texting is easy especially in the conversation mode just write and its one button sending. The only complaint on this side of things is if you view a missed call and you also have a message once you have looked at the call and press the return button you then have to go back in to your messaging to view it, but apart from that i have no complaints, well built good quality and a decent size screen and a good speaker for music playing direct of the phone. Also dont forget this is an early smart phone.
Battery life is quite good. I found it increased as I used it. I get two days with ease but do not use it much. I do not use the internet on it; I have a cheap modern touch screen phone for that. (A Motorola Moto E). This way I have a large screen for the internet and the convenience of a small phone for calls and texts. The camera is excellent and I do not use my digital camera. I know you can buy better cameras nowadays but but not at the price of a C905. Maps is better than nothing but is not as good as a newer phone. The C905 has a record of being unreliable. Mine was faulty when I bought it, the ear piece did not work. That is a common fault. The ear piece is in fact OK, the fault is deep inside and a good repair shop can repair it. I like the phone because of the camera, it fits into my pocket, it is a slide phone and it is cheap. The calculator works but suffers without a virtual keyboard. The calendar and timer are a joy to use.Read full review
I bought the Sony C905 to replace my old one which is very worn- through continuos use- for my work as a French Polisher - Furniture Restorer & Floor Sanding. With this phone ther are no silly gimmics- just simple phone to contact my customers- 8.1 million pixel camera which takes realy clear pictures to send work in progress pics to my customers- keeping them upto date at all times. With email access. For me an others like myself hard working and need to be in constant contact- this is the ideal phone- with real buttons. All at a great value price. Black in colour- doesnt show the dirt and still looks classy.
I bought this phone because I got sick to death of touch screen so called smart phones and I've use to have a SE w810i which in it's day was quite pricey. This phone has everything I need, an excellent camera, wifi, 3g, html web browser (opera mini) and a proper keypad, no touch screen, a big plus for me. Some reviews say that the ear mic goes but that hasn't happened to mine. A real top of the range "normal" phone that can still be bought new for a bargain price. If you don't like the smart phone craze this is one of the best.
Old school phone but still working good and make beautiful pictures!! The only minus is the internet browser is very old and doesn't have any support, is working but is limited. Overall, the phone is very, very valuable and perfect as a collectable.
