|Author Biography||Professor Jim Lucey is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Trinity College, University of Dublin, and Medical Director at St Patrick's University Hospital, Dublin. He has written numerous articles on the subject of mental health, having spent over thirty years working with individuals experiencing problems such as depression, anxiety, addiction, psychosis and suicidality. He is the author of two previous books, Understanding Psychiatry and the Irish Times bestseller In My Room. Jim lectures and conducts talks and seminars throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe and appears regularly on Irish radio and television to discuss issues of the mind and mental wellbeing. He lives in Dublin with his wife and family.|
