A Seriously ffffuny Ffergus Ffleming Read
This was such a seriously funny read and I loved every minute of it and so did my 30+ year old son. I am sure my 9 year old nephew will grow into it too. I purchased it for my Flemish collection as written by Fergus Fleming and was not seriously interested in reading it. After reading some of the articles on the front cover found that I could not put it down. I have found myself reading it out loud to others and we have all had a grand chuckle and learned a lot of fascinating historical snippets that we were not previously aware of. A great way to share history with kids, bigger kids and oldies like me too who did not study history at school. If you enjoy "Horrible Histories" on telly than you will love this mag as Fergus Fleming has done a great job. Presentation in newspaper format makes it excellent for those who just want to read the headlines.. or go a little deeper with the article itself. It also lead me to google some of the people and events to read more about it for myself so a great tool to encourage students of history to research more for themselves and is fun fun fun. Some have said history is boring... but not this Historical News Mag so I would highly recommend. Would also be a great mag for high schools to encourage those who have not yet been bitten by the history bug. Congrats to Fergus Fleming for such a fun mag and I will be buying other editions in the not too distant future. A great read !
