Introducing the Xbox Series S, the smallest, sleekest Xbox console ever. Experience the speed and performance of a next-gen all-digital console at an accessible price point.
I got out of gaming about a year ago, I previously had everything and my go to was the PS4 Pro, this console is great for those have a basic set up or an older 4K TV and a solid internet connection, especially when you combined it with Gamepass which will give you access to a wide range of games from Indie hits through to A++ games, it's biggest let down is it's available storage space, you can plug in a USB hdd if you want to copy games to that, but some games require the use of the main SSD Which only has around 300GB of available space, which makes its future-proof ness a bit questionable. However if you're more of a casual gamer or a bit picky, or don't mind downloading and deleting games as you need/want to play them, then this is a great console.
Graphics performance is pretty solid - even when you keep in mind that most games haven't yet been optimises for "next-gen", it's offers similar performance to a PS4 Pro - though on paper the PS4 Pro is a more powerful console, the Xbox Series S is using newer technology which makes it a much smoother experience than anything I experienced on previous generations of consoles.
- everything feels very smooth, slick and near instant.
So if you're upgrading from a previous gen to this with an understanding of some of its let downs, then you'll enjoy it and should take the leap. Read full review
The console takes up only 1 third of what my ps5 is yet it delivers all the games I play in next gen quality.
Red dead redemption 2 looks great at external stable FPS.
Cyberpunk 2077 has great quality graphics as good as ps5 with way more NPCs in the city.
The new assassins creed and watch dogs have ray tracing enabled.
I don’t have 4K monitor so ps5 is pretty much over kill for my 1440p monitor.
Xbox SS support 1440p natively so games look arguably better.
A great console for the games who enjoys efficiency and do not care about 4K.
