no matter what your relationship with your weight, food, dieting, etc. is this book is worth every cent and more the first few chapters explain how your body retains a healthy weight with well-sourced summeries of hundreds of studies while still managing to be easily understood. dr bacon follows up with further study analysis explaining how various industries influence our attitudes towards weight, food, and self-worth, as well as advocating critical thinking that is useful in any quest for the truth. she outlines what different aspects and nutrients do for your body and how they effect your brain and cause feelings of fullness. finally, she gets into the recommendations her government funded study found were most effective for maintaining health and comfort in ones body, describing more effective ways to encourage healthy eating than simply trying to force yourself. even if you think you already know what this book says, i still cannot recommend reading it enough as i am certain it will give you at least one thing to think aboutRead full review
