Jamie Oliver is back doing what he does best - cooking, at home, with simple, accessible ingredients, including fruit and veg that he recently started to grow in his kitchen garden. Each programme is themed around one primary ingredient, it could be a look at all the different varieties of tomatoes, what you do with lovely home-grown potatoes, or how to cook different cuts of lamb - but he also looks at how easy it is to grow your own produce; sometimes in weird and wonderful ways.
If you like cooking shows with a gentle pace, this is the series for you. Thirty minute meals and fifteen minute meals and some of his other programs are exhausting to watch. Despite the intent, which is to make cooking easier, the sharp cutting and editing and pace of them is exhausting and makes cooking look like a hard work - even watching them is hard work. However, this series is more like slow cooking in the sense of slow food, not the cooking technique. Very relaxing to watch.
