Household Steam Cleaners

Steam Cleaning Products

With a multitude of household cleaning supplies out there to choose from, knowing which products are going to clean your home efficiently and effectively is vital, especially for those with young children or pets. Steam mops have been on the market for over a decade and are increasingly becoming one of the most trustworthy offerings in cleaning products. Steam cleaning provides a fast and safe cleaning experience, to keep your home dirt and grime free with many health benefits.

Benefits

Steam mops are non-toxic, as they do not require the use of heavy chemicals to work, only heat and water. This means that they are pet and child friendly and your home is a safer environment. Allergy sufferers do not have to worry about symptoms flaring up, as there are no chemicals in the steam cleaning process. Mould, which also can cause health problems, will disappear, as the heat from steam cleaning will actually kill it whereas other cleaning products only change the colour so it blends into surfaces. Attachments for your steam mop will be able to get into hard to reach places to ensure every nook and cranny of your home is clean. The only cost for steam cleaning is for the electricity and water you need, so this will save you money in the long run.

How They Work

Steam cleaning products use heat from steam to clean floors and do not require any cleaning supplies such as detergent or bleach to work. Water in the reservoir heats to around 120 degrees Celsius to make steam, which then pumps out through one or up to 15 jets onto a microfibre pad at the base. The microfibre pad traps dirt and does not leave any residue on the floor. Steam mops can disinfect, remove stains, kill dust mites, restore shine and kill around 99 percent of bacteria.

Surfaces

Steam cleaning products are safe to use on a variety of floor surfaces, such as ceramic, hardwood, parquet, tile, marble and lino, while some models are safe for use on clothes.

Mop Care

Wash the microfibre pads from your steam mop in the washing machine then hang out to dry. When they are starting to look a bit old or tatty, you can easily replace them by purchasing a replacement multipack.
