This Seiko SNK807K2 is a comfortable-to-wear men's wrist watch with mechanical: automatic movement that offers its owner precise timekeeping. The case is made of stainless steel with mineral crystal glass face. The dial is colored in blue. The watch has water resistance up to 300 meters. Some of the features implemented in this analog timepiece include date indicator, seconds hand, water resistant.
this feels light on your wrist, i like the clear back but it offers no real value to the watch as its on the back. just kinda cool to me and me only. no dramas getting it wet. it feels durable, i haven't scratched the face yet and i'm using as a work watch. seems to last about two days without winding which is ok. bit of a pain if you only wear it occasionally. i have a seiko kinetic relay and it has a capacitor that remembers the time if its not worn for a few days and restarts when its picked up. but that cost nearly $800 12 years ago. this watch is great value. its hard to tell if it keeps good time if you let it stop frequently like i do. but accuracy is not essential to me.
The military styling of this watch face is harder to read than more classic watch faces, and is unique in how it emphasises the minutes over the hours to such an extent; but as the only "flare" in this watch's design it lends a uniqueness that avoids the desperate air of overly stylised watches.
This watch is unfalteringly focused on serving it's purpose with no distractions or fuss. The nylon band is mediocre, but comfortable. and the unit I recieved is accurate to -2 seconds a week, though I may have been lucky. The automatic movement is durable and there are wide spread reports of it lasting 30 years without maintenance.
in summary: a very good watch with a mediocre band.
This watch is exactly what I was looking for,a simple and rugged watch not dependent upon a battery. I like the Idea of an automatic winding watch movement, you wear it to wind it. It is not too big or heavy and is easy to read even in low light. I have only had this watch a few weeks so I can't comment on long term durability, accuracy or wear and tear issues yet.
I am very happy with my purchase.
