This multimeter works great and is very easy to use and read. The meter is comfortable in the hand and provides all the basic functions and information needed for my projects.

The fluke 8060A was a top end meter in it's time, and I think it still is. It isn't auto ranging like a lot of the new meters today but I like setting the range myself anyway. It's very accurate, has great 4 1/2 digit resolution, and has the portability that I'm looking for.

As purchased product was as advertised and using two bodies plus these parts I ended up with two fully calibratable functioning meters.

Sure, unlike most recent meters, you have a manual range selector only. Hence, you must be acquainted with use of meters. But if you know (well) how to use meters, the you have a stable & accurate meter (I check calibration of mine from time to time on my 5100B, I hardly never recalibrate it). This multimeter was a flagship in its time - and is still today! However, if you purchase one, be sure you get a working one, since there are no more spares left, sadly, and most parts are Fluke custom parts (LCD, A/D converter and switch selector block)

This Fluke digital multi-meter is a high quality meter that has been discontinued by Fluke but has excellent specs, better than some meters in production today. Since it is no longer supported by Fluke repairs and calibration become an issue but other than that it will hold its own with the best of the handheld meter out there.

I just wish they made replacement parts for it because I bought this one does my old one broke 35 years after the manufacturer made it

When someone says do you know about the Fluke 8060A I stop and laugh at them. Yes, I know and it is still relevant today as it was 30 years ago and a great teaching tool for the uninitiated. The key is to find one in good, working condition though. Once you master it you will have a better understanding of troubleshooting electronics and just how much "automation" is worked into modern day meters. Just had mine calibrated last year and it is still going after 22 years of TLC!

This was *the* handheld DMM in it's day, and it's still great today. The quality is really good--they just don't make them like this anymore. If you are looking for a truly good multimeter and don't care if it looks a little dated, and, well...beige, then get this one.

This is a very good meter. Used this model at work for over twenty years. Easy to use and read. May not be the most up-to-date or automated, but more than does the job.

I have two of these meters. Bought them new when they first came out, many years ago. They still work excellent and are extremely accurate. Never once have I had a problem. They are not auto ranging like the new millennial ones. So to work this Meter, you actually have to know what you’re doing. Customers will have to pay over $400 to equal the accuracy of this meter. Over $600 to get something better. These are A+ all the way.
