Works in Australia
This unit definitely works in Australia (model 01536CAUDI). Specifically made for the Australian market. The unit has our time zones and capital cities. The moon phase etc work fine. The unit is also supplied with an Australian socket adapter. Outdoor sensor and indoor display were easy to setup, for me at least. Indoor display has a pleasant screen that can be dimmed or turned off at night. PC Connect and MyAcuRite software work great and I'm now live on Weather Underground and can share my weather station data with family and friends. Not for Australia

Why no WIFI?!
It generally works fine, everything as described. Very accurate and the display is good to read and quick to understand. Although I don't see the point in the "Live-Ticker" display below the main screen. After the first day you will stop looking at it, doesn't tell you much more than what you see anyway. Programming and set-up is complicated and un-intuitive with the buttons and you will need the manual to get it done. I expected that to be better, sine it's connected to you PC/MAC, it should be done on the PC app. That PC connection is only possible with a USB cable. This will force you to have it on your desk next to you screen. That it is not fitted with WIFI is by far the worst thing about this unit. Esp. as the USB cable is short and I got interference issues between the sensor and the display until I placed at least 90cm away from the PC, so I needed a USB extension cord. In summary you will get one of the best weather stations, durable and reliable I hope, but the PC connection should be much better in the year 2018. This item works properly, but should not be for sale in Australia.
If, like me, you don't read the fine print properly you will find that you cannot set the unit for the country of Australia. This renders several functions useless for me. Apart from that, indoor and outdoor temperatures seem to be quite accurate. The unit needs to be plugged into the mains via the supplied USB cable in order for the screen to be illumiated constantly. Merely using the battery option requires a button to be pressed on top of the unit in order for the screen to illuminate and be properly read. So far its been great, no issues at all
So far i have not seen any AUS specific issues as noted by other reviewers. The display can be configured with AUS timezones and it got the moon phase correct. I have however not tried the PC Connect software, instead i have used a Raspberry Pi to upload data to WUnderground It was very easy to setup and configure and the display paired to the sensor without issueVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent as stand alone weather station. USB interface is OK for remote reading via AcuRite App but computer needs to be on all the time. Purchased a SmartHub and that is excellent better but no indoor temperature or humidity reading.
