Having a wheel selection is a must with gloves on, so that was very good. Fitting the components; These components were well made but helmet shell shape changed from smother lines to the more angular lines on the outer surface so fitting can be complicated depending on your style of helmet. Even with the attachment clip method or the sticky tape method the fitting was tricky, I went with the clip. The plastic fittings to go against the outside of the helmet shell did have a slight curve built in, but again depends on your helmet. You need some experience to fit the units to the helmet shell on some types of helmets. Talk with someone who has fitted the unit/s if you have never done this before. Instructions booklet was adequate. Interconnection with other riders not done at this stage, so no comment.Read full review

With the expectation of "works with up to 6 riders" you would hope that wouldn't isolate you from the rest of the riding community. This kind of attitude is only beneficial if you're the dominant player in the market and want everyone to conform to you - or if you're Microsoft. Does it pair easily? Yeah, the instructions were pretty good. Took 3 attempts, but it worked. Auto-repairing was good every time. What kind of range did I get out of it? Well, this one was only tested with a pillion, and even with that kind of distance, it did drop out for unknown reasons 2 or 3 times over 200+ km of riding. How's the audio quality? Great! Well, low speed is fine. At higher speeds (well, higher than 40kph), the communication was almost one way. I could hear the pillion just fine, but they couldn't hear me unless I was shouting. I could eat the microphone and it still didn't help. This was about the same experience from 40-140kph, and didn't seem to degrade as speed increased. Tried to re-position the microphone a few times but it didn't seem to help. How's battery life? Just under 300km with sync to pillion or phone and the charge tells me it's at 70% battery when I turn it on. Seems pretty good there! How did I pair/sync with other riders? I didn't. I can't. The bit that's missing from the advert, and instruction book, is that this unit ONLY works with other Freedconn products. Was installation easy? Yeah, it was. Adhere's well. Cables secure away well. Microphone is reasonably out of the way, and has enough options to suit full face and open-face helmets just fine.Read full review

The voice dialing is terrible. I am in Australia and simple names are just recognized. Useless really. Had to rename my contacts to names like "chuck" and the like. Another similar product uses a button to dial last number called..... much better. Apart from not being able to call someone it works fine. Music on the move is great and sound quality is excellent. Would not buy again.

Works great, clear comms, great audio with music BT from 'phone, reasonably simple operation, works well with 'phone. FM radio performs better than expected, picks up distant stations that high end 'phone won't. Flexi mic boom tcould be a bit more rigid, tends to rotate slightly, no big deal though. Comes with 2 mounting options for the unit, self adhesive bracket or clip on bracket, I had to use the self adhesive bracket, T-Maxx unit just slides into bracket, very easily removed if required. I ended up buying 2 x sets of 2, one for each of my 3 helmets and a spare for temporary fitting to riding friends helmets.
