This production is it's own worst enemy. In it's time, it may have had a limited following among a young audience but by todays standards, nostalgia is about the only thing that makes it bearable. For a snapshot of history, its value now is that only as a record. Compared to the expectations of CGI today, even in video games, the puppetry in UFO at best is laudable. The uniforms worn at times, are of the standard of a childs birthday party. One question a viewer may ask is why when on the moon, the foil clad, female operations staff all have their hair turn a delightful purple, compared to when they are on Earth? In its day, the production may have held interest but today, it's only value is that of a reference piece.
