The Best Truffle Oils
I have been using this product for years and do not know why it gradually became unavailable The American website no longer features it. That is unfortunate because it is excellent and has convincing truffle aroma in both the white and black varieties. In my search to find replacements (before I went on eBay and found it in Australia) I tried everything from super-expensive Italian small batch truffle-flavored oils to other domestically produced truffle oils. None I tried was more convincing, and most were anemic next to La Tourangelle. The bottles from Australia I now have were made in and exported from France. (Why do so many good things die in America?) Note: I recommend storing this oil in the refrigerator. It will last a very long time this way if not used within a couple of months.
