Funky sound with enough volume. Great look

I bought this as my muck around amp which I use for my cigar box guitar and it does a brilliant job. The sound quality isn't amazing but that's expected as it is a bit of a toy and shouldn't be used as a serious performing amp. Although I still really like the rough un-polished sound it gives. Kind of like 'it was the only thing lying around but I'll still be able to express myself and create music'. Because it runs on a 9 volt battery and is small, it's great to take pretty much anywhere for an impromptu jam whether at the beach, a BBQ or a park. It'd also be great to keep in the car just in case you get a hankering to play when you're on the side of the road during a road trip. It's even got a belt clip if you wanted to jam whilst walking down the street The styling is great and even if you're not a serious musician it'll look great as an ornament or little conversation starter. It's pretty loud for a small toy amp which I was surprised by and the drive control is good and can get pretty dirty. I find it difficult to hear big changes when playing around with the tone but it's not too bad. The price was probably a bit of a let down for me. Although it is very affordable, here in Australia it's difficult to find for less that 60-70 dollars. And that's not that bad but when you compare it to the 20 dollar mark in US it makes it look like a pretty steep price point. In saying that, once playing around with it I'm sure you'll forget about the extra cash spent. All in all, I would highly recommend this charming little amplifier for any musician enthusiast from beginner to expert. It'd also make a great gift. It's a cool little piece that is functional and really enjoyable in its playing, styling and simplicity. So yeah, it's pretty damn sweet.Read full review
