Its an original part with the ford logo embedded in it and not an aftermarket item of unkown quality. A over the phone price from my local dealer was $102 this genuine part cost $68 delivered. The non genuine part was approx $40 dollars. Not sure why they fail but nothing lasts forever. Hopefully it will last longer than the non-genuine part. Easy to install.
I have two Falcon vehicles ,2004 one tonner and a 2009 XR6. The 2004 model appears to have an alloy door handle but the newer 2009 model has plastic. No point in complaining as we know the outcome of Ford Australia. Bye.
So is it good value ,well, from the above supplier , yes , it made a saving of thirty-eight dollars over a local supplier .
Delivered on time and within forty-eight hours of being ordered. Unlike some others who say they're in the land of Oz (they wish) but four weeks later you receive god knows what in a plastic bag.
This is my third or fourth purchase from Bayford Ford without any problems and good delivery time. I suppose the sad thing is that it has been cheaper and faster to deal with a supplier twelve hundred kilometres away rather than the local bloke .
