This book is an updated version of the Diary of Private Prayer written by John Baillie in the 1930s. It has a month's prayers, morning and evening that are very helpful in guiding a person to pray about a number of different things each day. I don't usually use prayers composed by someone else, but find these prayers helpful in guiding my thoughts. The print is easy to read, there is a ribbon bound into the book that makes it easy to mark the day you're on. There are a couple of Sunday prayers at the end of the book that can be used on Sunday instead of the prayers offered for one of the numbered days 1-31. I bought a couple of extras to share with friends.

I have used the older version of this book for years. This is an updated version and beautifully done. It has a ribbon, a very nice feature, too. The book is a tremendous source of inspiration and fruit for meditation. Oftentimes books have the same information but the flow of words is very important to me.
