Works well, heats quickly
I've only used it for a couple weeks now, and it seems to work well. The soldering iron and rework station both heat quickly (though not quite as quick as the digital readout says), and the tip conducts decently well. I currently use it on 430 degrees C, and I haven't had any issues.

Great for a hobbyist not suitable for jobs requiring more professional/expensive equipment.
I recommend this as a product to learn about soldering/desoldering as a hobbyist. If you have a specific desoldering task that requires professional equipment then this soldering station is not suitable. I could not maintain the required temperature at the tip to desolder the specific job I wanted to perform. I will need to buy a more expensive/professional soldering iron/station that can maintain the temperature at the tip. This station enabled me to practice and learn enough about soldering/desoldering to pay for itself and to experiment and evaluate if I really wanted to spend alot more.

Ok but wont tirn off
This soldering iron works ok. It heats up and the dials work well. You can set temperature and air speed. Problem is thst once you tirn either the air gun ir soldering iron in you cant turn it off inless you hit the main switch. A bit annoying.

Top value soldering iron
I am using this for small hobbyist electronics work and it is an amazing tool, heats up very quickly and is very comfortable in the hand, lovely rubber grip just before the hot bit so you always have a firm hold and fingers are protected from straying too far. Have only used the heat gun for heat shrink sleeving - that is so fast to get to temperature!!! It is automatic, pick it up and it is on, put it back and it goes through a quick cooling cycle and switches off. As the heat gun has specialist nozzels and gets very hot indeed (dial in the temperature you want) it looks like it would be very appropriate for SMD work. Recommend this for electronics work.

Great rework station.
It gets hot fast, and holds the heat well. The entire soldering iron is replaceable, just unplug the cable and plug in a new one. Tips replaceable, heating element replaceable. The cables are flexible and not annoying. Such a huge upgrade from the cheap soldering iron.
