I was looking for a good valued power supply for an amateur radio. Did not have hundreds to spend on one - chose the powertech power supply and it is working well.
Generates loud interference every 25 kHz across the HF Amateur bands, despite Jaycar listing this as suitable for running Amateur transceivers. The only radio use I can see for the hobbyist for this is running high power commercial radios on the CB band - definitely NOT legal.
Have 2 of these power supplies. One is to run the UHF unit in the house and the other runs the electric fuel pump and electric saw sharper in the shed.
Have had no problems with either, they have been great so far!
Being a 20 amp power supply, means that I can run multiple things from the one power supply at the same time without causing problems! If you do overload it, there in a small cylindrical fuse that is readily available and easily replaced.
