DAYCO Expansion Tanks are fit for purpose and made to OE specifications. These tanks are used to recover the coolant that escapes the cooling system past the pressure cap due to rising pressure and temperature, in a properly operating cooling system, the coolant will then be siphoned back into the radiator as the temperature drops. Tanks will often become discoloured, brittle, contaminated with sludge or even break requiring immediate replacement for the cooling system to continue effective operation.

Good fit, good materials. Old Out, New In - Under 20 Minutes.
Materials seem to be well made and sturdy. Good fit for Ford EL Falcon replacement. The original, apart from being clouded and old, had become brittle and a small leak had developed. Disconnected hoses and bolts. Connected this one in. Bolted down. Fitted perfectly. Works like new. All done in under 20 minutes (one of my hose clamps was a bit tricky to remove, but patience was rewarded.) Highly recommended.
