I was very sceptical, but this collar actually works. Within an hour of use, my dog stopped his barking, and within a few weeks, I believe my dog will be conditioned enough that the collar will no longer be necessary, and could be completely removed.
It is also very accurate, the collar only sounds when my dog barks or growls, other loud household noises do not trigger the alarm to sound
One issue I had with my dog, (Boxer Puppy), was that he would bark and bite the broom head and vacuum head everytime I cleaned the floor, now, he just watches from a distance. He thinks that the broom is actually triggering the dog collar to sound.
It's well worth the money.
This is our 2nd collar within a year, they are good quality but definitely not water proof as it says in the write up. Works really well otherwise just keep it away from water. Our dog went for a quick dip in the pool and the collar was toast. Pulled it appart to find water and rusted out components inside. No water proof seal just plastic casing and a few screws.
It is a good collar but I bought it for my great dane as I didn't see that it was best suited up to medium sized dogs. Collar only just fits and he worked out how to bark through it.
Would work for smaller dogs well though
I purchased this because my dog was barking when left alone. I could not do any training with the collar as my dog never barks when he's with me. So I put it on him and asked a neighbour to let me know if he heard any barking. Day one he heard a little bit of whining but day two nothing at all. When I asked again a few days later the neighbour said he thought I must have been home as there was no barking at all. Prior to this the dog could bark for 7 hours straight if left alone. He is a large dog around 20kgs with short fur . I would definitely recommend this product
Got it for our howling and barking beagle. Put it on, he howled once in the afternoon and never did it again. Fingers crossed!
I've had the spray type before with batteries for our Husky. They work OK but are a pain to change batteries and refill the spray.
