I’ve opted for paying a bit more for memory cards from a reputable brand, sold by a reputable business (Harris).. It’s worth it.. my laptop is flying!!
Had 8GB in an older Toshiba L850 Satellite that I like to use and thought I’d just give it a boost with 16GB. Can’t say I notice the difference but it will give me a margin when doing things like playing blurays. Easy install - no problem, nothing to change, system just rebooted and good to go. Bargain improvement, and DDR3 probably will only get dearer in the future.
8GB (2) DDR3 SODIMM RAM fitted to Lenovo Thinkpad T530i since purchase. To date, RAM have been operating without issue, handling multiple tasks and apps/software running simultaneously. Have not bench tested RAM since I've not had any cause for concern.
YMMV
Bought two 8GB modules to upgrade RAM in QNAP TS-453A NAS following reviews on QNAP forums, and also considering lower pricing compared with other brands. Installed in minutes using video from YouTube.
Memory modules recognised by the system as 8GB "Crucial Technology". The NAS runs already over a week without any errors.
Highly recommended.
