Fantastic, compact, effective heater. Very quiet as compared to other brands. Only complaint is the stylised operating knob is smooth and is difficult to switch between settings.

I had read elsewhere that these were noisy, but nothing could be further from the truth. Very quiet in operation and on low heat setting it draws 1000W measured on my Watttsmeter and warms 3/4 of my 2 bedroom unit perfectly. On high it draws about 1500W and is super warm. I've found these ceramic type heaters to be far more efficient than the old fashioned glowing bare-wire heating element type heaters. In fact I would say they are the most efficient form of heating in my lengthy experience, having found the reverse cycle air conditioning to be as efficient (but less effective in my opinion and far noisier for me, and my neighbours!). This ceramic heater uses a true heat exchanger design for maximum efficiency (looks like a little car radiator inside there). Very impressed with the Dimplex. Quietest one yet. Highly recommended for this and every winter. I'm buying another one to put in the cupboard in case this one ever dies, that's how impressed I am with it.
