In today's plethora of superheroes and CGI, a gentle film like "Christopher Robin" is a necessity. Don't get me wrong: I thoroughly enjoy the MCU and its CGI effects. But, for a complete change of pace and a focus on something real, "Christopher Robin" revealed a charm that I found I needed. I went back to a time of slow and deep relationships and the vibrancy of childhood imagination. The setting was perfect, the "human'' cast ditto. Special mention must be made of Bronte Carmichael as Madeline. And as for the denizens of the Hundred Acre Wood, they were eons away from the ghastly (my opinion) Disney cartoon characters and took their life from E.H. Shepard. I thank Disney for rectifying their mistake. The voices were also spot on, especially Pooh. A necessary film, highlighting the importance of family and imagination in truly human existence.Read full review
