I brought a large format HP Photosmart 8750 model. The information was pretty accurate, it was used but in good condition, just needed ink. I brought the printer at the fraction of the price, I needed a printer that would print in 13 X 19 glossy photo paper with high quality. All printers I have brought have been a disappointment, they print very well at the beginning then soon would lose the quality or refuse to print at all. I haven't had this printer for enough time to see if this true for this one but for right now it seems to be working.
This my fourth HP printer, my second large format photo printer. I, along with my associates, agree that HP makes the best printers. The 8750 is the first printer that I can rate as the perfect one. Its color reproduction is flawless. The print quality is unbelievable turning out photo enlargements which seem to look even better than the original. The technology used to provide accurate alignment is definitely the best I have ever seen. It is the first printer I have used that NEVER feeds more than one sheet at a time. It prevents many mistakes by sensing when paper size does not match presets or computer commands. I appreciate its quiet operation.
I've had a long relationship with HP Printers. After several years of using an HP-8150 which I just love, I purchased this HP-8750 as an upgrade to be able to print larger pictures. This unit was purchased used. I downloaded and installed the drivers from HP's website, hooked up the printer, loaded fresh cartridges in it and printed my 1st picture within an hour of receiving the printer from UPS. IT WAS GREAT! The prints are clear, sharp and color is amazing. From 4x6 to 8 1/2x11's it is just perfect. I do have some 13x19 paper but have not yet had an occasion to print something that large. All I know is this thing works great and I love it. Some reviews have indicated it uses a lot of ink, I don't know if thats true. As long as it prints as well as it does, I won't worry too much about the amount of ink it uses. Quality over quantity and this printer has the quality in spades. Great buy!Read full review
This printer is simply amazing. I used to own a 7150 Photosmart back in the day. Ever since then, I've fallen in love with the photosmarts. I needed a wide format size though, so I decided to try out the 8750 photosmart. This printer simply reestablished my faith in HP's photosmart line. The pictures are dashing and are exactly what you want. What you see on the screen is what you get in your print. I've had such bad experience with other printers where the colors are slightly off, or the printer constantly jams, or it always has software issues. 8750 is so easy to use. The huge array of specialty inks cater to my need for photos, B&W, and just generic black text documents. Simply. Just. Amazing. The best B&W photos since the days when I'd develop photos myself in the dark room. The only negative feature I can bring up about this printer is that it does go through ink, but no where near as much as other photo printers on the market. The cartridges are not too badly priced either (about $20 to $30 each). Each cartridge also comes with the print head on it, so every time you change cartridges, it's like you're getting a new print head, which means accurate prints every time - And no cleaning print heads ever again! Long story short, if a piano fell on top of my 8750 photosmart today, tomorrow I'd be at the store getting another one exactly like it again. This is a printer that was made to make customers happy. I completely recommend it.Read full review
I am delighted with the new HP Photosmart 8750 InkJet. I have been using it for about 6 months. As a graphics artist I make a lot of prints of digital images. I create reference material to create artwork and for some paintings I may print up to 30 photos, all in different color formats. I do a lot of printing. The HP Photosmart 8750 is the latest addition to my arscenal of printers. This is my third HP printer, I bought my first one about 8 years ago. The first one was a 820Cxi, then the HP1220C and now the Photosmart 8750. I did try other printers, but I could not find the quality that I have always found the HP products. I love the 8750 for the picture and color quality it gives me, it is excellent. Did I say, the color is excellent! OH I did, didn't I? It does not use a lot of ink either, another big plus. On straight photos you can't beat it. And I often use a lot of graphics programs, overlapping program on program and even changing photo formats a few times and the printer will print a fair representation of my color combos even in the most extreme cases, I have enough to projetct the image to paint. These images are not ment to be printed at all. Other printers would just make a blob of indistinguishable ink. I have two HP 2335 monitors in my studio, one at my computer and have another one at my drafting table where I reference the photo on the monitor as I paint. The HP Photosmart 8750 also prints Text very well As a professional artist I require a state of the art printer , the best the money can buy. I don't have time to play around with adjusting everything to accomodate a printing unit, I want a printing unit to accomodate me and I am still delighted with this unit. I have no complaints as of September 2007. I have never been disapointed with the HP printers. I did try another high-end brand not HP, at my sister's house for her, who is also an artist, but I found that the prints were more like black and white photos with color glazed over them. The HP 8750 is excellent in that it prints images with much more pleasing colors. There are better and more expensive units out there, you can pay up to a quarter of a million dollars for a printer and even more. But for what I wanted to pay and the quality that I was looking for I am very please with my purchase.Read full review
The reason I bought this printer was to be able to print professional photo's such as you would get if you took your roll of film in to have it processed. You can also do your regular printing, such as documents etc. It has the memory card reader which I love since my photography is digital and also has usb connectivity. For those who want a picture in lightening speed, well this would not be the printer. It does take longer then your average printer, but that is to be expected if you are wanting the professional photo's. It does print just that. I love the color and the clarity. I gave out 7x5 photos for Christmas to family members and they were shocked when I told them I had printed them on my photo printer. They thought I had them done through one of the one hour photo places. The ink cartridges you can purchase anywhere that sells HP ink. I would suggest the vivera inks as it is the highest quality ink and does print amazingly brilliant pictures. Now if you have limited space, well the printer is fairly large, but the upside to this is that if you have wireless in your home you can be in one room and print to the printer while in another room. It does not come with the wireless adapter, but you can purchase one at Best Buy and also find the vivera inks and HP photo paper there too. I have used the Dynex brand glossy photo paper from Best Buy as it less expensive then the HP photo paper and the quality of the photo is the best I have seen since printing pictures from home. The unit if you purchase it through HP is a bit pricey. I weighed the cost of printing with my other printer, the quality, the amount of ink I was going through, the cost of having to purchase the very best photo paper to achieve the pictures I wanted and I feel that over time that the initial cost of this printer would be worth replacing what I have. Overall I am very pleased with this printer and anyone who is looking for professional printing at home, well this is the printer to purchase.Read full review
Well I have had this printer for about three years now and it STILL works great! HP out did themselves on this one....Great printer. Don I bought this printer to move up to a larger format print. I had some problems but it turned out not to be the printers fault and was a software issue with my computer. On the phone with Hp for about 3.5 hours. Also I would like to say I purchased this printer from convergencegroup here on Ebay and was in contact with them when the problem started. At that time I thought the printer was defective and they assured me that I would get a good working printer no mater what! I love the printer and the prints I get are the very best I have ever seen from any printer or studio. If your looking for a great printer buy this one and you will be extremely happy with the prints. Feel safe if you buy from the Ebay company convergencegroup, I can tell you from experience they are what they say they are and you will get a good printer and a great deal! With out any question one of the best people to buy from.Read full review
I have enjoyed using the HP Photosmart and the quality is awesome. I haven't found many drawbacks to it other than maybe the cost of the ink. Some companies offer ink if you have their printer at a much reduced rate. It ran about 100.00 just for ink. If you give away your work and don't mind the cost then I would recommend this printer. If you sell your work and it defrays the cost (of ink)then you will love this printer. I do have the HP 6110 All in one printer and have loved it. But the difference in quality is something you can see. 9 ink offers so much more.
I purchased this printer for it's wide format (13"x19") it's excellent color and beautiful black and white printing capabilaties. The software provided works great, but it also intergrates well with photoshop. I have used a wide variety of paper thru it and have yet to complain about anything! If I were it would be that it is a bit thirsty on ink, but then, at 13x19 what printer woundn't be? If you should buy one, HP's papers are great, but my favorite is Pictorico White Film! Makes for the best picture I have ever seen from a home printer!
I bought this printer because I wanted to print large photos (up to 13x19) at high quality. I had the HP cp1700 before this, but this printer is twice the resolution and uses HP's new ink that last much longer. My wife and I had a baby and we wanted the best quality that we could get in a 13x19 photo printer. You will NOT be disappointed with this printer!
