Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in CD Players & Recorders
Of course, Pioneer is a very well known name. During the height of the CD disc popularity, they made many fine products. At this point in time, these players are out of favor due to the prevalence of MP3 players This unit not only plays well, but is a great place to store a CD collection for those who still like CD's. As used players, these are well priced at about $100.00 plus shipping ($30.00), but one must carefully review the pictures to get a cosmetically nice one without scratches on the front bezel. It's also nice to try to get a remote with it. The only problem with buying these used is that they can be damaged during shipping. When the players were new, they had a long screw that went in the bottom on the left hand, front side of the player that held the CD playing carriage in place. Of course, that is long gone. Without that, rough handling can force the carriage weight out of position, or damage the gears that drive it back and forth to select CD's. If the top cover is removed, a small piece of wire or a smaller, screw can do the same job. This sounds like a lot of trouble, but it's worth the effort. I had to take off the cover of the one I purchased and reposition the CD playing carriage on its tracks. It jammed the first time I turned it on from being jostled during shipping.Read full review

This PWY1004 has been a real delight, much better than the PWY1004 that it replaced. I can recommend the PWY1004 to anyone who needs a PWY1004.
