Topdon - Very Impressive Scan Tool
Having a VCI Bluetooth DLC connector just makes it a joy to operate. You can be anywhere around the vehicle monitoring without being tied to the DLC by a metre to so cord. Touch screen is a pleasure to use. And the best part all vehicle brands plus 28 Service Functions for life. No annual update costs. Very sturd hard case which protects the scan tool. Topdon ArtiDiag 800BT Possible Software problem
Topdon ArtiDiag 800BT. The hardware seemed to be quite solidly constructed and well laid out, the screen was large enough and bright enough to see the graphs without straining your eyes and the receptacle for the vehicle Bluetooth interface gets a two thumbs up. Bluetooth connectivity was strong (still receiving good signal at almost ten meters) as was the Wifi and the update access.The user interface was well laid out, and it was easy to find what you need, though the sensitivity of the touch screen could not be controlled so it would select the first thing you touched when trying to scroll down. A lot of time wasted backing out of unneeded selections. Unfortunately the product software did not function as suggested with the unit that I received, I was not able to download any pictures to the workshop data management file, things like company logo and customer photos. Out of the four vehicles that were tested three failed to communicate correctly: 2004 Toyota Corolla, failed to communicate via auto Vin, failed to recognise manual Vin, failed to recognise vehicle on manual selection, all protocols failed to communicate via EOBD. The vehicle runs well and tests well with another scan tool. 2003 Mercedes CLK320, found vehicle with auto vin but unable to complete health scan, Stuck on 19% for over 40 min and in that it was unable to locate an Engine Control Module or the Electronic Stability Control Module registering them as not fitted equipment, only two other systems found but would not progress any further. 2002 Jaguar X Type, unable to automatically or manually recognise Vin and it kept reverting to a 2007 Land Rover for some reason. All recommended actions carried out several times on each vehicle with the same result. At this point I lost faith in the ability for the unit to successfully communicate with the variety of different vehicles serviced by my business. The one Vehicle it was able to communicate with was the first tested. 2004 BMW 318i, Auto selected Vin quickly, health scan was quick and accurate, data refresh time was more than adequate. If the unit had functioned this well on all vehicles tested I would be singing its praises! Communication with Topdon took days for a reply and the and there is no way a customer can tell if the free lifetime updates are valid for the unit they have purchased as only the engineers have access to the information. I suspect that there was a software malfunction but after returning the unit, a week after receiving it, I did not receive any feedback as to why or if it malfunctioned so it is difficult 'to' or 'not to' recommend purchasing the Topdon ArtiDiag 800BTVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

MK808 is worth it, great! I'm very happy.

Impressive Design With Quality
This product is good but some area need to be improved by manufacture immediately. the pros and cons as per the below. Pros 1. free life time update & 3 year warranty 2. design is very similar to ThinkTool 3. vehicle coverage is good 4. real time data capturing feature Cons 1. vehicle scanning history reports can not be deleted 2. some maintenance function giving errors EXG Steering angle sensor reset in Toyota Prius 2010 3. less vehicle coverage in maintenance & service function 4. can not export diagnostic reports to PDF or readable formats 5. live data records export function not working or can not export

No happy
Bought it as it’s supposed to work on a ve commodore. Won’t connect to the car probably or even update. Registering the thing was a nightmare. Kept saying my password AND username was wrong. They both saved to my computer but still stayed they are wrong. straight Gives you one free update that you have to do straight away and only allows you to update the oil sender, nothing else. I’m quite mechanical savvy, wouldn’t have bought it otherwise but I’ve spent more time on the computer trying to get it to work than what it’s worth. Still haven’t used it. Do not lose the VCI/Bluetooth adaptor as you can not replace it
Unfortunately I left the bluetooth VCI adaptor in a car and i can not get it back from the customer. Ottofix does not sell replacement so the unit became useless to me after only a few weeks of use. It is easy to leave the device plugged into the car if you are used to the cabled type of unit. Great product for your car
The Autel Maxi AP200 works great once you have set it up. I got mine for a Renault and there is no suitable app available through Google play store. I had to download the required software through another web site. Once up and running it performs very well and I have been able to clear outstanding issues with our car quite easily. Good scanner tool
After many days doing a deeply research here and there I decided to buy one of this Autel scanner tool. Well, I got it today and tested on my wife's car, it did everything that they promise. The car got an message for service on the electric parking brake. The tool just deleted it without any problem. Now I'm preparing to program a new key for it, just waiting to receive the new one. I will spend more time with the scanner to learn more how to use it, I know it will do a lot of things.
