Coming from the 70's and being very partial to the progressive style of that era I never had the pleasure of hearing this recording until today. I purchased Larks' Tongues a few weeks back and was waiting for a good time to give it a real listen. The quality of the recording is great and the disks are in a very nice jewel box with sleeve. As far as the music is concerned this stands out as a great early progressive work that sounds fresh and current and not dated at all. Of course the musicians are some of the best in the business. Im happy to finally add this to my collection. I was looking at some other collectors lists and was looking for something new. This fits perfectly with my listening style.

Great music as always and the DVD of the band playing is a big plus. A must buy for the King Crimson fans.

This is the best way to get in on the 4oth Anniversary editions of King Crimson. The deluxe box set has far too much for most fans. Some of the live recordings are very low fidelity. HERE you get all the essential tracks that contributed to the development of the band and the "Aspic" album.
