Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Adjustable Power Supplies
Hi Guys, I bought this power supply then looked on utube, looked like I bought a problem, but no, this is not a transformer model, it is all switchmode. I turned the current up over a few hours one amp at a time with the lid off to check temps, nothing got more than slightly warm after an hour at the full 10 amps, except the banana plugs, which I soldered on the very tips, and I did the alligator clips on the leads too. Very happy, construction quality excellent, performance excellent, neat build inside, recommended. Allan Portland Vic

Pros The prices is reasonable at around $80 for a 10A CC / CV supply It does provide the 30V 10A rated capacity Cons The unit is quite noisy (both fan and circuit switching) My main concern is it doesn't maintain reliable constant current I tested the CC function by shorting the leads and setting the current to 0.25A I then applied a variable resistance load reducing the resistance to verify the current flow. The current increased to over 1.1A before the CC function fully applied reducing it back to the 0.25A I had it set to I have purchased a very similar 5A unit for about $40 previously and it did not have this issue.

alright for the price for general use. it takes a while for the display to show the present readings, meaning for example you have to adjust voltage slowly so you don't overshoot your target. not sure if the auto cc cv mode is good, also at a certain level it will continuosly switch between cc and cv. the banana plugs on the leads that come with it are quite stiff (so need a lot of force to plug them in), other banana plugs worked fine.

Its good for the price. I just needed a power supply for a bit of hobby work at home. Easy to calibrate, comes with instruction booklet. Display is easy to read. Probably a bit wanting if used in a professional envirionment. The only neg is the included patch leads are a bit short, so I replaced them. Recommended for home use or occasional workshop use.

Works as specified. Digital readout is handy although personally I use a multimeter to get a more accurate reading of output.
