I have to admit I was a little apprehensive on buying this set for a long time. The main reasons being the cost and the reviews on the set that generally don’t do it any good. Pick this set up on a sale price and you’re already winning! This set is excellent. I do agree that it could have been “bigger” or more focus on the base itself. But once you assemble it and realise the playability and display value, it is definitely worth it. The functioning door for the hangar is well thought out and durable. Probably the best part is the Ion cannon. The construction and full functionality of it are amazing! The lead designer on this set has done well for Lego and Star Wars combined. This is the second addition to my UCS Star Wars sets (Ewok Village) and I love both. The varied mini figures definitely add value also.
