I loved reading Bone as a youth and my son has found the same excitement in the few comic books that I’ve kept. I’m glad I found this collection for him to enjoy.

Onward to Boneville!
I've rented this book from the libaray quite a few times but have never actually got around to reading it. I tend to check out more books than i have time to read, and I always put Bone on the backburner (it's HUGE man!). I finally read it first thing this Thanksgiving. I couldn't put it down. It starts out as you would expect, from it's very cartoony cover, but quickly you are submersed in a world that is as impossible to stop reading as the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Speaking of the holy 3, it's very much in that vain. The Bone creatures have a very hobbit-y feel to them, with a little more humor thrown in, and the warriors and monsters around them have a very middle earth flavor. This is a book for adult fantasy fans, young harry potter fans, and pretty much anybody with a love for adventure, fantasy, and great characters. I really can't recommend this book enough, and with almost 1,400 pages it's certianly the best value in town for all it's lushly drawn pages. I couldn't recommend this more...I only wish you could find this book without reading this review so you could be as pleasently suprised as i was. It doesn't happen that often.Read full review

One of the best "books" I've read lately
I bought this book because it was on a top 100 graphic novel list from a magazine that I trust. I found a copy for 14 dollars and figured, why not? Well, I got it in the mail and it sat on our bookshelf for probably 2 months before I even looked at it, I think because it was so intimidatingly big. Well, I finally opened it up and started reading it and by about page 10 I was completely hooked. I can't really describe what it is about this book that is so great. It's very action packed, it's consistently funny and the plot and all the character are very well developed and work well together. If you like action/fantasy or you like comic books or you just like a good read in general, this book is seriously awesome. I haven't read LotR, but I hear that it's awfully similar. Anyway, great book. Highly suggest!!!Read full review

Us Bone's Gotta Stick Together
Bone is an outstanding comic. I was sorry to see the series end, and when Smith recently began rereleasing the series I was ecstatic. It is just a fun-loving series and really never should have ended. Ya hear me, Jeff? Please write a new Bone comic. Please!
