This book was commissioned by the airport owners who sponsored the author to spend a week at Heathrow, chronicling what he experienced. The result is a philosophical journey as much as anything else, and asks the reader why he/she/we is/are travelling, where we are going and /or departing. . The author is not uncritical of the building, or its organisation. This is a good read, and needs to be kept in one's personal library, rather than borrowed and then returned to a municipal library; having said that, it is but a slight volume, so perhaps a wider audience would be reached by the addition of it to the local library catalogue.
