when i was on vacation and had to hand carry a cheaper slik, it was a hassle. while on vacation though, i noticed this baby and tried it while taking pics and fell in love with this. while shorter in height than the cheaper model, the ability to slip this into your backpack removes any unnecessary hassle with dealing with security asking you to leave this with them or leave it at home. the swivel head gives it all different angles instead of the standard up, down side views. it also comes with a shoulder bag in the event you're wondering if you have to buy something to hold on to it.

The tripod is small, yes, but it's the price you pay for a stable and lightweight tripod (780grams), it's really well built and I have no problems using my Olympus Em5 ii with 40-150 f2.8. My only wish is that the plate were arca swiss, but you can change the ballhead

Took it with me to do some backcountry camping and hiking. Very pleased with the size and weight. The ball head, once loosened, flops around easily so you really need to have your hand on the camera to hold it up. Wish the legs could widen more too and a level would be convenient. All around good tripod. I guess you need to sacrifice some of the features to get the light weight that it offers. I would recommend this product.

It perfectly fits my Olympus Pen E-P5, but I think it will fit other bigger camera as well. Well finished, compact and light, easy and quick to put in position, it is suitable for traveling.

This is exactly what I was looking for, a good sturdy table top tripod. I did howevery change out the ball head for a bigger stronger pan head. This is not because it was dad but I simply like the pan head style better and i needed a strong head for a big heavy optic. Great item!!
