In pic it seems to have a slightly curved top, but the rubber part is completely flat - would be better slightly curved as my guitars (1 elec and 2 acoustics) all have slightly curved fretboards. But seems to work fine anyway. Much cheaper than a brand name capo I have (jim dunlop) - not quite as nicely finished, and maybe the rubber pieces aren't as nice, but spring seems as strong and both work the same. Excellent value :-)

Painting of this capo is poorly done, it is cheap for good reasons. More importantly, the clipping is not good enough to make both high and low E strings work, I had to adjust with struggle to get the capo work....then I just went straight to a local store to buy a good one with $14.... this is just a piece of garbage....
