I don't claim to be any kind of expert in any field, but my experiences with honest people and cowboying have led me to believe that I kw eugh, at this stage of life, to put down a few true episodes of my life. I worked the mule alley in Ft. Worth for T. Z. Ham as a youngster, spent the night several times in the old wagon yards, and traded, bought, and sold a great number of horses, cows, and hogs. Nothing has been left out or added to these stories. They have been told as they occurred. Modern-day folks can get a glimpse of what life was like back when life was good.
