A well researched detailed no holds barred account of two Hollywood Stars misbehaviour
Having read several biographies about Bette Davis and one about Joan Crawford, I did not find out a great deal more about them in this account. However, it makes fascinating reading none the less because it was so brutally honest and included every last bit of the pieces of gossip which apparently appeared in the papers and magazines during the 30's ,40's and 50's when these two stars shared the Crown ( alternating ) as the Queen of Hollywood. What I did learn was their sexual appetites, promiscuity and preparedness to tell untruths was far greater than I realised. This book reveals two very strong , independent , mean, cruel, selfish, ambitious, narcissistic women who were very good actresses but not very caring wives and mothers and not very nice people.
