One of the first in the market was the Blazer which quickly established itself as one of the biggest selling vehicles in North America because of its go-anywhere capabilities and roominess. The other plus was a range of accessories such as airconditioning, automatic transmission, carpets, etc. The Blazer soon became a symbol of a new breed of buyer in North America as it was a big seller for GM and generated huge profit per unit.
