Alan Vincent is an educational consultant who has spent most of his life working in various aspects of careers education and guidance. Initially a languages teacher, he has also worked as head of careers in a secondary school, head of guidance and admissions in a 16-19 consortium, as an education business partnership manager and as a SETPOINT manager (promoting careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics). He has extensive experience in educational and vocational guidance for young people, particularly those in the 14-19 age range. He is currently General Secretary of the Association for Careers Education and Guidance (ACEG) and also manages a local 14-19 partnership of schools and a college of further education.
