As mentioned in the title, the... Hyper TX3 is second to it's bigger brother, the Hyper 212 Evo in terms of cooling performance for the money. Although it is noticeably easier to install than the 212, as the mounting config (for Intel platforms that is) is the same push-pin setup as stock Intel coolers. Speaking of which, this cooler supports all the 115X sockets up to date, as well as 1136. For AMD sockets, the TX3 includes brackets and mounting hooks which support most sockets back to AM2, (including the FM sockets too). For cooling performance, this CPU cooler is able to handle mild overclocks on CPUs with a TDP of 95W, with 120W being the cooler's advertised maximum TDP that it can handle. Below 55-60% fan speed (or around 600-700 RPM), the stock fan that came with the TX3 is almost inaudible, making it good for silent builds on a budget. Overall, good cooler, good price for performance.

If you've got a tight mITX build... and don't feel like yanking the motherboard out to swap the cooler, this one will do you just fine, as it has push-pins that are a straight swap for the Intel stock cooler. That said, its cooling performance is abysmal, so don't expect to get a much bigger OC than you would with the stock cooler - +400mhz sounds comfortable.

Good budget cooler - dropped temps about 25 degrees compa...red to stock Intel heatsink and allowed a moderate overclock as well. Quieter at normal loads.
