This collection of poems gives voice to individuals' unspoken truths using language that is real and honest. The poems are of particular significance in the complex world that we live in, raising awareness of the many hidden social issues prevalent in our modern society, as they slowly seep into our consciousness. The author paints a picture of multiple situations and empathically offers a platform for protagonists to process and begin to digest troubled feelings; she offers an empathic ear whilst communicating their journeys and stories to a wider audience, through powerful and emotive language. Poetry is used as a medium of indiscriminate (yet brutally honest) bursts of emotion that have, in some instances, been locked away for many years. 'Crack On' will t only offer the reader access to an array of diverse and often inaccessible worlds but also demonstrate how happiness can transcend even pain and trauma.
