After the previous 3 Danzig ...albums, we find a slight shift in style here, with some songs more of a shift than others. While undeniably Danzig, with great vocals, lyrics, and musicianship, Danzig steps into industrial rock to some extent with experimental flashes of of middle eastern (?), some jazz influence, and perhaps less of the bluesy, metal, punk attitude of previous albums. After several listens to this album, with an open mind to try and appreciate where Danzig was going and what he was trying to do, I found myself thoroughly enjoying this album, but in a slightly different context than Danzig 1,2, or 3. Yes, Danzig 3 was the epitome of the Danzig style and substance, but this album is worth tracking down and enjoying it for what it is. Recommended.
