Digital strings are t visible, but affect all ecomic segments. This book studies the phemen of digitalization with the instruments of ecomics in order to explore the interdependencies between digitalization, ecomic policy, and macroecomic variables of open ecomies. Digitalization is separated into the three components networks, IT services, and digital goods which are then incorporated into macroecomic models of trade theory in open ecomies. This approach allows to formally describe the cross-effects between digitalization and macroecomic variables of a country. Specifically, it is used to analyze interdependencies between macroecomic variables and networks, IT services, and digital goods, and to determine the challenges of digitalization for ecomic policy and regulation.
