An interloper animal came to the middle of the field abutting our property to the east. It wasn't the black cat often seen looking for mice, and it wasn't the spaniel taking its running and sniffing exercise, r was it the skunk sometimes seen in the early evening. Rather, it was something different and being crouched in the grass I couldn't identify it until I got my biculars. Then I saw that the creature was a beautiful red fox likely stalking a field mouse nervously hiding some where. Concerned about this defenseless mouse, I wrote Discovering Trail's End: The Tale of Henry the Ate, A Chosen Mouse. It's a small book, readable in one or two sittings, telling about a chosen mouse, destined to become a folk hero, for overcoming difficult ordeals while leading others to the mysterious Trail's End and the den of The Great Creator.
