How do you show your gratitude for a return to good health? Who do you give thanks to? Lois Tuffield decided that the best way she could demonstrate her thanks was to embark on a 500 km walk across Northern Spain. An added incentive was her family's attachment to the name James. Consequently she went in search of the tomb of the apostle Saint James, interred in the Cathedral at Santiago de Compostela.
Lois Tuffield was born in Upton, Norfolk in 1948. She was educated at Gt Yarmouth High School, Homerton College, Cambridge, and The University of East Anglia. After a successful teaching career she retired to rural France, with husband John. Lois enjoys writing and when not caring for her pets (goats, cats, birds), she can be found sitting at her laptop. Her articles about life in France have been published in a variety of UK magazines. Not Another Bloody Goat is the title of her book describing the first few years in a foreign country. In addition to non-fiction work, Lois has written two novels and a bi-lingual vegetarian cookery book. (these, as yet, unpublished.)
