A few words to describe Harimandir's short poems: powerful, relative, insightful, thought-provoking. Inspired by the mystic poets Rumi, Kabir and Hafez, Enduring Vulnerabilities covers the subjects of relationships both platonic and intimate, meditation and spirituality, and a deep, insightful mindfulness. Expect this work to inspire more than a few aha moments. You won't be disappointed.
Harimandir Khalsa met Yogi Bhajan in 1980 and under his influence began a study of yoga and meditation. At some point her focus shifted from looking outward to looking inward and thus began a healing journey which has rewarded her with many an aha moment and a few experiences she describes as both esoteric and mystical. Her experiences and observations, coupled with her exposure to the writings of the mystic poets, inspired her to begin writing. Khalsa has taught Kundalini yoga since 1985. She is also an artist who paints, and since 1995 has produced ambitious interior and exterior murals. She continues to produce artwork and lives what she considers an ordinary life on the outskirts of Melrose, a one-traffic light town in north central Florida.
