Karlina is a young girl who displays her joyful personality by sharing her fingerprints in the little world around her. She expresses in a loving way her unique identity with unforgettable touches and sweet messages left behind for her family. This little girl has very incent intentions and offers fingerprints to others for free.
Mary Ann Vitale is a bilingual, award-winning author of children's books. Her first published book for children, The Water Lily Fairy is the winner of the 2013 YATR Literary Awards Best Children's Book. Her recent book, The Street Where the Dollar Tree Grew is the winner of the LSOR Reviewers Choice Awards. She is married and has three grown children. She loves spending quality time with her eight grandchildren, teaching them the wonderful traditions she learned from her heritage. Mary Ann never dreamed of writing children's books. The language barrier was a challenge to her writing career. She was born in Sicily. As a young child, she always loved reading books, even though they were not easily accessible. At a young age, she moved to the U.S.A. She attended Cosmetology School and college. She is fluent in the Italian, Sicilian, and English languages. At the age of fifty, she wrote her first story for children. Urged by constant inspiration, she wrote many other stories and poems. One day, she woke up with the realization 'a writer was born'! Mary Ann has always kept in close contact with her inner child. She taps in her Sicilian folklore to entertain and cultivate children and the child in all of us. Mary Ann wants to spread the joy of her books to many children all over the world. Her books will be available in five different languages: English, Italian, Sicilian, French, and Spanish. Recently, she realized the importance of preserving a language that can be forgotten forever. She started writing books on Sicilian proverbs, Sicilian old sayings, which will be written simultaneously in Sicilian, Italian, and English. She is working on the story, The Mulinazzo and Punta Raisi Airport, which will be in Italian, and English. Soon she will publish La Fata delle Ninfee al Castello del Gelato, the Italian version of The Water Lily Fairy at the Ice Cream Palace.
